High tone or low tone

My right horn is broken. Is it high or low tone? To be clear, my car is 2004-11 make.

high tone/61 33 6 912 069/to 2005-11/end of production
high tone/61 33 7 184 481 - can I use it?
low tone/61 33 6 912 068/to 2005/11/end of production
low tone/61 33 7 184 480 - can I use it?

doesn't exactly specify if its a pre or post facelift tho......

unless its the same part for both, in which case what does the "2005-11/end of production" part mean, facelift?

My car is a pre facelift one.
"To 2005-11" means, that it was produced/mounted to that date, I got that information from OEM BMW selling unit site and this part is no longer available as you can see.

If you look at Real OEM for your first part number it shows it's superceded by the 2nd on your list and exchangeable retrospectively. Quite common on BMW to issue a new part number or parts and it fits the older models. I often can't tell the difference, but assume it's either improved or a different supplier. Part fits all pre and post facelift models.

I can't tell which one of yours has broken and too difficult to know left and right UK/Europe. I replaced both mine with much superior air horns.

If your horn sounds weedy then the low tone has gone. I had two fail in my last car. So over here the right hand (passenger side in the US) would be the high tone. If you don't mind second hand hand then the e46 of the same era uses the exact same part. Both my replacements came from broken e46s.

Now that I removed my right side horn I cannot hear anything when I 'use' horn seating in the car.
E46 horns are not same with E85 from what part numbers say.

Then they are probably both broken. That often happens as folks don't notice one has gone and only realise when a second breaks.
Test the leads for a voltage when pressing the horn button (ignition on) and also try bench testing the horns.
