High quality (Chinese) valve caps

So I’m a clown and bought 4 sets of valve caps from eBay. They have the m logo and are in black. I thought given the price I needed 4. They must be made of potatoes for that price but feel and look ok.

Pm me if you want a set (I have 3) and I’ll pop them in the post.

Randomly I also have a silver m one that came off the car if anyone wants that.

OK, then100% do not use these! They will fuse to your valves and you'll need to cut them off with a saw.....they're a bloody nightmare!

I took a silver metal one off when putting these on and how no issues. What causes them to fuse? Can’t be heat so I presume crud?
Bimetallic corrosion... tiny electric currents flowing between two dissimilar metals causing anodic oxidation

You're absolutely right. Excellent warning.

I've used similar valve caps on a previous car, and thankfully got away, with using very much brute force (instead of cutting) to remove them again

Yes, I had the same problem years ago and needed 2 sets of pliers to get them off! One pair on the valve stem to stop it twisting and the other on the cap. :o

I've never bought any more!

But I suppose they'd be OK if you made a point of regularly loosening and re-tightening them - after all a freebie can be hard to resist.

Well now you put it like that, it's just a shame they aren't blue!
