Nice little review of a 23i from High Peak Autos.
Also a worthwhile YouTube channel to follow.

I kindof of like this guys channel in a light hearted time wasty kind of way.

But every car seems to be ok or good, I would prefer a better analysis of where it is great / where it is ok / where it is sh.te & how it stacks up to other cars you might be cross shopping against.

At the end of the day, he is a car salesman selling hist stock - fair play.

He compared the 23i to the naturally aspirated 2.0. Didn't even mention you could get a pokier turbocharged 20i. Still, not a bad review although the first thing I'd do with an e89 is remove the runflats.

Probably not nice to say but I find him very robotic and lacking in any warmth or humour. This E89 review failed to mention any of the options available which his car didn't have, as matsmith says he selling stock so ok, but if you're going to do a review on a car, do a review on it, not cherry pick yours that is certainly not only what's available.

Or pick one up with adaptive suspension, or 17” wheels maybe.

SE spec 18" rims with non run flats gives very good ride quality. Not many cars out there with adaptive suspension.

I quite like the guy and his channel . He does the fake forced laugh when accelerating and a few unnecessary cheesy jokes but I can get passed them and enjoy his reviews .

Yeah, I guess like most things on YouTube it’s polarising depending on what you’re looking for. I just like watching car videos, and try not to deconstruct them too much 😄

If you want a really good laugh, there is a deluded old geezer called "to the garage" or "TTG" who seems to think that rusting old pieces of shite Jag XK8s are the pinnacle of automotive utopia. Can't fault these people's enthusiasm, but I do question their motives (hits and subscribers = money these days).
Youtube has been utterly ruined by people trying to make a fast buck for little effort IMHO. We even have a name for them now; "influencers", or in old money "money grabbing gobshites" :x

TTG sounds like another good one to add to my subscription list

I guess motives wise, its like anything else in the entertainment business. If you want to cut through and survive through a creator platform then you also need to be okay with what that entails from a business pov. The subscriber numbers speak for themselves and the game changes quickly. YouTube is already trying to play catchup with other user generated streaming platforms - a lot of which is aimed at audience/generations I’d argue is very different to 80% of the Z4F

These are probably the same people that own Allegros and Marinas, claiming them as lost gems. There's a bloke near here who's got three Maestros parked outside - I have to assume he runs mental health awareness week and uses them as warnings.

Why doesn’t he buy one decent car
