High mileage Z4MC - Thoughts?

A motorway driven car is likely to have less wear than a car that's constantly doing short runs. Definitely worth a punt at £10k....

I've never understood the English mentality that miles are a problem , I came here from a z3m coupe , 112000 miles , cat d , drove great and never let me down and nor has it let down the new owner .
When I bought it I gave it a service and drove it over 4000 miles around Europe including a ring trip , never even gave it a second thought , did the same the year after as well .
I would dare bet no one on here gives their car a harder life than the r & d drivers employed by bmw .
The only problem people have with mileage is the future value , and there's a lot more important things to worry yourself about than a few quid .
I wouldn't think twice about buying that if I was in a position to , I lived in France for a couple of years and all the cars for sale there had mega mileage .

Saw this motor a couple of months back. They have reduced it around 1.5K. Happy to go see it with someone if they fancy it - not far from me. Seems tempting and nice project for someone. i.e. black roof, wheels, tints,

Bugger.

I was hoping it would remain unsold until the new year, at which point I would have been forced to buy it, however on checking this morning it has sold!!

The hunt continues...
:(

you realy should have jumped on that, thats probably the best car you will ever see for under 10k.... that was a one off.

You say at that price it wasn't going to hang about but it had been up for weeks getting progressively cheaper. It was 11k when I started watching it!

Either way I'm not in a position to buy right now, but it's a shame nonetheless

4 weeks is nothing for a car like this at this time of year/season, and in terms of selling a car, who doesn't price high with a view to being knocked down, he simply lessoned his margin to get the sale over the weeks, which he did :-) its a shame you wasn't in the position but I'm sure you will be soon, 10k is alot of anyones money to spend on a luxury item imo.

I had a sniff at this about a month ago , if it stacks as described & looks then it could be a great way into Z Mworld for someone wanting a weekend treat but can't justify £13k/£14k being tied up
It's inevitable more of these £10k cars will surface but its about condition & history , some will have it & some won't so anyone looking has to buy wisely .
I'm sitting tight for now but can see 2015 being the year of the M wilks

You have found zed love then Mr wilks

Let's just say that the mentioned sub £10k M Coupe & "woots's" recent giveaway prompted my return to work after a 3 month sabbatical drifted into 7 :o
Ive enjoyed the time out & would recommend it to anyone who can get away with it :D but i just couldn't justify the spend both on the vehicle & the running costs so i got the tools out of the garage & got back on the hammer
a sleeping fox catches no poultry so looking forward to next year very much :driving:
