High Mileage 56 plate 2.5 sport

Hi

I collected my new Z4 yesterday. It has 103,000 miles on the clock but the deal was right. It has had one company owner and a full service history which has been done at Williams in Manchester. It has also just had new brakes all round and springs at the back. The work was completed by BMW Warrington.

Based on the age, history and mileage is there anything else that I should check / get done? It is due an inspection 1 in 1500 miles.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

Thanks

Welcome and congratulations - let's see some pictures and we can start to offer comment.
Same goes for your other thread in the detailing section.

Thats not high mileage at all mate, well higher that quite a few Z's but thats because most are not used as daily drivers. I easily do 1000 miles a month, so will be near soon :P

The 108’s will be removed and dropped off next Monday. I should have them back within 10 days. Recommended to me by the BMW approved body shop in Hull.

I’ll then get it in for its inspection 1 Service. Based on the mileage / history should I get them to check anything else? I’ve heard that Autologic in Hull are pretty good. Can anybody vouch for them?

I’ll then start the deep clean process..

Congratulations on the purchase, in my experience you are actually better off buying a newer higher mileage example. Chances are most of the miles were done on the motorway while the engine is up to temperature and theres low stress on components in general. Mine ('04 3.0i) was on 90k when i bought it and 112k now, the only major (non-service) item it needed was a thrust bearing on the clutch.
