High Level Rear Brake Light - white led

main dealer part AFAIK. unless you can find one from a breaker. They all seem to crack and occasionally fall out.

Just been yesterday for my MOT and tester spotted one segment of mine not working  ,went to stealers today to get fixed under my fully comp no excess insured warranty to be told that bulbs arent covered    .
Told them to go and fling pish at themselves as it is not a bulb,it is an led light which is not repairable, result is it is now being replaced on Tuesday.
Every time i go to the stealers i have the same s**t    .
They really havent got a clue

Hi - the plastic light on my 2006 Z4M has fallen apart - does anyone know where I can buy a replacement?

Thanks

Call Jamie at Sopers in Lincoln. It'll set you back c.£50. Mention the forum to get a 10% discount. They'll deliver it to your door. Install is a 15 minute DIY job. There are a few threads on here with diagrams showing you how to do it

I think i quite fancy a clear one now too. Maybe if it cracks i can get the dealer to change to clear for free.

dealers are such shits nowadays arent they
I don't know whether it's just the dealers themselves, or primarily the people who provide the warranty. I've been using the same dealership for a number of years, and have a very good relationship with the Service Adviser. Every time that I have a problem, I am finding it harder and harder to get them to accept that work is covered under the extended warranty - the exclusions for "glass" and "trim" seem to cover a much wider range than you would expect from those terms.

The SA has admitted to me in private that the dealerships are having to fight much harder to get the insurance company (Mondial) to agree to pay out under the warranty.

Just received mine from Jamie @ Sopers

£50.32 inc VAT and Delivery, with forum discount. A pleasure to deal with too.

I bought new springs with mine too, p/n 63256900698 as it's too tight springs that cause it to crack.

Hi - spoke to my contact at the local BMW dealer and got a good deal on the light - £55; cheapest I could find it on the net was £75 delivered

you can use your old springs. just go gently. they changed the springs after all the lights kept breaking.

The revised springs are softer so less likely you'll crack the plastic.
