High end customer made 'Carputer' feeler thread

I thought I'd test the water for interest on here for my custom made 'Carputer' which has received some interest on the 350z scene.

My basic concepts and values all go against the crap carputers that your see on eBay and is a vast enhancement on the Z4's own sat nav unit - bottom line it needed to be slick, stylish, reliable, flexible and above all future proof.

So here it is - spec
- Laptop power processing
- Collapsible 14 inch LCD display
- 14 inch secondary display
- Integrated OBD2 reader
- Hands free mobile phone technology
- 8GB integrated IPOD interface
- Sat Nav at TomTom standard with 5 inch screen which can be moved at the push of a finger
- Built in 6 LED cabin illumination.
- ICE lighting
- Integrated tool kit

Initial costings put it around £999.99 fully installed (some modifications could be required
 
I'll have one! Bloody fanstastic bit of kit.

Can you add to it? Could do with a lippy holder, oh and somewhere for a hairbrush.

Oh, I forgot, and a cup holder.

That's genius - such functional beauty in such a compact user friendly form :thumbsup:

I have an analogue 14" TV going spare if demand outstrips supply Ricey - just become obsolete for TV viewing last week, 17 years old if it's a day. I can do you a deal if you agree to advertise my Z for me if/when I ever decide to sell it ?
 
You know what I did this ages ago and ive just realised I've been missing my hammer, screwdriver and bloody spanner!
I bet the bloody thing is still in the loft!

Although oddly I do have my obdII reader and iPod
 
That's pretty slick. I like that you've obviously spent a long time in the development process rather than just foisting an unfinished prototype on the market... nice work, ricey :thumbsup:
