I am now in position to fit my facelift front end and facelift halogens, but as always I need to ask a few questions. I assume that the facelift halogens are no better than the pre facelift lights so I am looking to fit some HIDs, but I know nothing at all about them, so a few questions

1. Can anybody recommend a set I should go for?

2. Do they come with fitting instructions?

3. Is there any reprogramming needed when you fit them

Any other advise greatly appreciated

Ive used HIDS4U.co.uk for years, the set I have on my Z4 I've actually had fitted for 4 years with not one single issue.

Although now named different, this is pretty much the kit I have in a 6000k lamp....

My advice would be to go with the 35 watt kit, it's the closest to oem HID, I've tried the 55 watt kit and found it was too bright so exchanged them for the 35 watt.

The kit you chose needs to be canbus ready so you don't have any errors. The kit in the link is.

They will come with instructions but it's fairly easy. You plug the car H7 loom into the HID ballast, then connect the supplied lighting loom to the other connection on the ballast, and plug lamp in.

The hardest part is deciding where to hid the ballast, I removed the bumper and hid them out the way underneath the headlight. Pretty sure there's a few bolts there you can use to hold the ballast.

No programming required. Just make sure they are canbus ready.

These HIDS4U kits, are they for high beam or low beam? Do they pass MOT because I had heard they change the beam pattern as the focal point of the light is different between a halogen filament and a HID tube.
