The halogen lights aren't autolevelling unfortunately. It's an expensive job to fit the autolevelling retrofit - expensive enough that you might as well go for real xenon while you're at it.
i have auto leveling on the car as when i turn the car on and its hark the headlights come on and move up then down, this is auto leveling isnt it ? and i have washers as well ?
No the Halogen headlights have motors in them that allow you to adjust the height of them depending upon load in the car. The self levelling system for factory Xenons has sensors linked to the suspension which keep the headlights level at all times.
To clarify what you see is the motors cycling to return them to the level they were at. In effect the motors don't remember where you manually set them with the knurled adjusters. OEM xenons have suspension mounted sensors that adjust based upon load to the initially correct set alignment.
Plenty of room. Acces is through panel in front of wheel on arch liner.
Aftermarket hids are a hate of mine scattered beam, no levelling, etc.
Remember - mot fail now under latest regs, although seem to be advising only at present.
