In quite moments of reflection I now find myself pondering what on the car is more useless than the R&W lights
How about an £820 option for a TV tuner added to the i-Drive screen which goes blank when the car is moving, which is 99% of the time? That takes some beating IMHO.

They can be coded apparently to work while moving.
But why would you want the distraction

Yes I heard that it can be done with Bimmercode.
And yes, it would be distracting, therefore there is no point in having it, especially for £820 extra. My 49" TV in my lounge was half that price and I can actually watch it. :D

I have it in my x6 and after the novelty of having a TV in your car wears off it is pointless.

My first E89 had the TV function which is very very rare in these cars. I used to live at the bottom of a hill and it wouldn’t work. It did work when higher up the hill but I must have used it once for 2 mins to see if it works. I personally would never pay for this option in any car.
