HID kit install Help

Afternoon,

Hope you guys all having a nice Xmas!

I've recently had a true battle with my xenon headlights so therefore I decided to replace both units with brand new, however this being said they have now been returned to Halogen units.

Obviously I'm looking at HID kits which I'm very much used to installing however I'm just curious if anyone has any images of where they are storing the ballasts, ideally I don't want to cut through the OEM plastic backing cover.

Help would be much appreciated!

I managed to put mine on the inside edge of the light unit. There is a flat section which they can be adhered to. Therefore no cutting required and can be very quickly reverted back for MOT if needed👍

super thanks mate! Probably look at some 5k 55w h7 kit. Eventually will retrofit some decent morimotos from Trup but for now with new units they won't be bad I wouldntnof thought in terms of light output.

I understand you could have some thermal issues with 55w ballasts/bulbs.
While I had mine off to refurb I was thinking about upgrading my 35 watters to 55 before forum members disuaded me.

Thanks Chris, I've gone for the 35w kit instead as I thought this could be an issue with heat.

Thanks!

Looking great! Guess that's the best kit for the E85. We'll work on uncle's incoming E85 project soon after we finished installing the suspension and black rhino wheels on the F150 project and clear the garage. He's considering the 55w H7 kit for the E85.

This is my install
