HID Installed - Radio Signal Problems

Hi, fitted a set of H7 Canbus Terminator Kit from HID Direct, they work fine with no errors on the dash but it makes some of the radio stations loose signal.

Kiss 101, Capital 103 which are both FM. Radio 1 99.5 works as normal.

Wiring - BMW brown - HID Black
BMW Black - HID Red

Any suggestions?

lack of filtering / radio frequency shielding around the unit is my guess. I imagine its the first one, when I had my first car I had some neons under the seats :oops: that did the same thing, I forget exactly what I did but it involved some 30v capacitors to filter out the noise simply placed in parallel with each neon tube. If that doesn't work then you could try wrapping some tin foil around the HID ballast units if they are plastic to see if they are actually emitting RF. Cheap switchmode laptop replacement power supplies also do this due to a lack of shielding on the case.
 
Thanks for the reply. I've emailed hid direct as I don't expect this from a £60 hid kit. Used eBay Chinese specials in the past on other cars (£30) with no problems..

Anyone else had a similar problem?
 
Just fitted HID kit to mine, but don't have any radio issues or warnings. That kit is the 35w kit from HIDS4U.co.uk.
