HID Conversion H7 adaptor

Hi All,

Just tried fitting my hid conversion kit this morning, but I can't get the wires and plugs for the kit through the metal adaptor plate that converts the H7 bulb to the OEM headlight.

Is the some adaptor I should have bought at the time, or does everyone else just try and modify the existing adaptor?
I tried bending it a bit, but the plugs for the HID kit are quite large, and I don't want to break something that means I have no headlights at all!

Any help appreciated.

Some kits come with a slot in the bulb holder but they can be of questionable quality. I filed the plastic connectors down enough so they just pass through.

Filing the connectors down did the trick, don't know why I didn't think of that to start with!

You need the bulbs with the metal bases and not plastic. It's tight getting one of the connectors through the clip, but doable.

The plastic based hid bulbs are too thick, they distort the mounting clip causing the lugs to slip out from under the retaining bolts.
