Hello,
I am new here and I have tried to look through all the posts to find answers but have been unable.
1. What does the US-spec HID plug look like, and can anyone confirm aftermarket lights will mate up to it?
2. Since the current DRL (daytime running light) is the high-beam, is it running on a reduced voltage? If so won't it make wiring the LED halos to it more difficult, they have to have at least 12-14 volts?
3. Will anything be adversely affected by regressing from factory HID lights to a retrofitted HID kit in the aftermarket lights? It's counter-intuitive, but also a third of the price of trying to get factory lights with the black housing in them. The other driving factor is that I am having water intrusion issues with one of the factory casings.
4. I am looking for aftermarket HID plug and play headlights - does this exist and does anyone have suggestions and pictures of what they look like installed?
Thanks!
Mike
