Hi speed brake judder

I've not really used the Z for a while 3-4 weeks or so, and have used it in anger this week (650 miles) but yesterday I noticed that when breaking from 70mph there seems to be a judder coming from the front.

Have I got warped discs or something? Or could it be a sensor? I've never had this issue before on any car, but then I've never had ABS or powers teering (not that they may have any thing to do with the judder).

Any ideas?

A sticking calliper will certainly cause this, as will uneven pad deposits on the disks. However the later would only normally cause judder if you were getting the disks hot.

I would drive it a bit more and see if it persists. Easy way to see if its a sticking calliper is to drive around a bit with very little braking. Pull up and put your hand close to the front disks ( don't touch them though). If one is substantially hotter than the other its a sticky calliper.

Mines started this recently, but I think mine more related to worn bushes, etc. I just shy of 80,000 miles so it can't hurt if I replace them soon.

Hmmmmm... given the car's recent inactivity and as it's been siting outside the caliper may be culprit. When the weather gets better I'll whip the calipers off and see if I can clean out the pistons a bit.

Car has done 55,000 and I've only just noticed the caliper issues since driving it this week.

Happened on mine - it was a (very) worn bush. With having it checked if it doesn't clear up with some driving.
