Hi all.

Been a member for a couple of years nearly I think but sadly had to sell my 85 due to family reasons (misses has a littlen) so have returned less than a year later with an 86... YAY! (Misses passed her test)

She needs a bit work and TLC but sadly will have to wait until after Christmas! :-/

Anyway, looking forward to meeting people with the same beautiful car, interests and hopefully sharing knowledge in keeping these little gems in tip top condition. (Eventually).

Here she is :-

(Yes I was parked next to an 85) ;-)

Cheers for reading,

Lee

Back to the fold. :D Lovely Coupe, brave piece of parking though, there are other cars in the car park. :?

Welcome back Lee!

And this time you bought the right Z4 - :fuelfire:

Not sure about the brave parking - I always park my Z4 miles from anything else but invariably come back to find some old sh*tter less than a foot away from my P & J.

Anyway, enjoy your E86. :driving:

Cheers all!

It was brave parking but sadly the local shopping village over Xmas for parking is ridiculous. Pretty much sardines in a tin!

The run down is :-
123'000 on the clock.
Some service history and she was looking a little sorry so paid 7k for her which I know isn't a lot but will hopefully bring her back up to standard.

The main things that need doing/done are as follows -

Another O2 sensor, already had one replaced!!
D/s lock occasionally doesn't lock/unlucky. (Relays under the drop down I'm guessing in the gm5 unit or what ever it is).
Bonnet alarm switch.
Oil/filter/sparks was first thing done.
Alloys in need of serious refurbishment! (First thing on list other than getting her running right) :driving:
Bosh coils installed probably need replacing.
Replaced both horns, (sounded like a mouse smoking 20 a day!)
Exhaust fine but tatty, (new look needed and wouldn't mind more of a burble.)
Front right valance 2 inch scuff.
Front fogs and front bumper reflectors could do with replacing.
Paint touch up here and there.
New window screen (looks like it's been sand blasted).

Nor sure if I've picked up a bad one yet but she seems to run fine, sounds nice and apart from the usual tick of the engine no chattering from the vanos. Though I'll look into replacing the pins at some point.

Either way.... I love her so hopefully through next year I should have most if not all of the above completed.

Sorry for rambling and cheers again for the rewelcome. ;-)

Lee
