So I just bought a slightly used 2005 z4 3.0i and am already looking for parts lol. Is there some type of front bumper lip protector out there? The BMW version is no longer available, but I have already scraped the bottom of the bumper twice since I got it last Thursday. Also, is there some type of clear bra?

What a fun car! I look forward to meeting everyone.

Welcome Amanda, I hope you enjoy Zed ownership. What colour, Spec, etc have you got ?

Bottom line is there is nothing much you can do to protect the bottom edge of the bumper. sure you can fit sliders, but they actually make it even lower . You're going to have to modify your driving style and be aware of where the front is for not only potholes, parking ramps, etc. but at some point when you park against a kerb. That's when you'll find out how long the nose is :)

Clear bra - yes they are around, but very few use them. The front is a gravel magnet and most accept that a respray every few years is the solution.

When it comes to parking, the best solution is to make a habit of reversing into spaces. There's far more clearance at the back and you dont get caught out forgetting to look before you swing in.

Don't worry he means just the bumper! It comes off reasonably easily for painting once the stone chips get the better of it. Mine needs doing this year really.

it means it was sitting in the garage with a BMW trickle charger mostly so very low miles and was in almost perfect condition until I pulled into my driveway. I have since figured out to angle wide but that will be a habit I have to get used to. 8)

Ummm not my style. I go for classy not trashy. So no boobies to see here lol! Wanna see something cool though I could show you me breaking concrete slabs or boards with my hands in Taekwondo. :D 8) :rofl:
 
In case I've missed you not getting the joke Amanda, and apologies if you do get it, a clear bra is a see thru coating that goes over the front of the car. Protects and also keeps some stones off too.....so as much as some want to see your boobs haha, I'm sure that's not what they were suggesting :)

I think you need to read above where it was stated something to the effect of "I think you can find those in a women's catalog and I would like to see you in a clear bra." I got the joke and continued on with it. I could either do that or get angry. I chose to laugh it off. I know what a clear car bra is otherwise I would not have asked about it. I really love cars and attend shows on a regular basis. My other car is a 2011 Camaro 2SS convertible that has won many trophies. I could have got offended, but choose not too. Life is too short to let that get to me, so I roll with the jokes. So there.....lol!! :P.

No problem, you are a guy lol. It's kinda like my Jack Russell I call him and he comes running until a bird flies by and then off he goes probably thinking "bird, bird, gotta get the bird." Boobs are a guys bird lol so the rest is lost. :rofl:
