Hi,

Just joined and looking at buying an E86 Z4 coupe. I know how valuable forums can be, to both potential, new and current owners, so its a no brainer to join this forum.

I've owned a few BMW's in the past, a 318is M-Tech, a 1 series 118d M-Sport and always had a soft spot for 2 door RWD motors. Mk2 Escort, Opel Manta, Nissan 200sx, 318is M-Tech, Porsche 928s Manual plus others.

Currently have a Renault Clio 182 and absolutely love it. However, after 9 years of ownership, and I feel like a change.

Thanks Jon

Welcome to the forum Jon from a serial Coupe owner.

I've always preferred RWD cars too, and have had some similarities to yours, like a MK2 Escort RS2000, a couple of 2.8i Capris and a Cavalier Sportshatch - an Opel Manta with different badging!

Anyway good luck finding the right Coupe. It's worth looking at the classifieds on here as forum cars tend to be given plenty of TLC.

Welcome Jon. Cracking cars. Just don't expect it to keep up with your clio. I tried once, years ago when I could still drive. Even in my ///M I gave up. Twas a muddy Cornish C road, but those are the most fun. :driving:

Hi, Haha there isn't much that keeps up with the Clio on the twisty roads, it handles lile a flea :D When its opens up though, it gets left behind my most cars now.

I've wanted a (dare I say it here) Nissan 350z for a while, then noticed the Z4 E86 and the Z is now a distant memory :)
