Hello,

Just a quick hello. I'm currently thinking about a Z4 as a new car.

Ideally a 3.0si. Looking at around 8k to spend! Maybe a little more for the right car?

Hope to be looking properly by the 1st of Feb.

Is there anything in particular to be looking out for when buying?

Also, I realise it differs from person to person, but I haven't had a quote for insurance as yet? Am I biting off more than I can chew being I'm very young (27, nearly 28!!)

Any help is greatly appreciated, and look forward to possibly owning my first BMW in the near(ish) future.

I got mine last year at 24 and there are quite a few younger than me on here, so whilst insurance isn't as cheap as a family car, it isn't too bad considering the car imo

I'm in almost exactly the same position as you, 27 going on 28 and looking for a 3.0si Sport Coupe. Haven't thought of myself as 'very' young for a long time!

Insurance quotes seem reasonable (£600-700, fully comp, 6k miles, 24 year old gf on the insurance, 7 years no claims, on road in SE London...)

In my opinion the insurance could be a whole lot worse - I'm actually more concerned about budgeting for maintenance as I'm used to looking after my mgb for next to nothing!

I'd love to look for a coupe, but I don't think my budget will stretch thaaaaat far :-(

Roadster is still a nice car. My main issue is the 2 seats..

I had thought of other cars that are similar, but none seem to have the same visual impact.. :-(

Seen one I quite like, might give them a bell in the morning!
