Hi - New Member from Barnsley

Hi there,

After going without a car for the past 20 years or so through a combination of riding my Vespa, working from home and sharing the wife's motor when needed, I recently took the plunge and purchased a 2007 2L 205E model from eBay. I'm a complete novice when it comes to all the technical stuff, so being pointed towards this forum early on was a great help. Having said that I did commit the cardinal sin and not get any checks done before I committed to buy, hopefully that won't come back to bite me in the months and years ahead but we'll have to see.

I've got loads of questions I want to ask as I'm getting to know my Z4, but I'll do some more looking at previous posts before I make requests for information which may have already been covered but one thing I wanted to ask was, is there a way of accessing online versions of owners manuals anywhere? I've tried entering the VIN into a couple of websites which offer the service but this hasn't got me anywhere. Ideally I'd like to get hold of an original hard copy but they are going for daft money on eBay and I'm not sure where else I might locate one.

Thanks for letting me join the forum, cheers, Tingworthy

PS - Bearing in mind I'm a complete novice and I have lots to learn, if there are any Z4 officiando's anywhere near me in Barnsley who wouldn't mind acting as my Z4 mentor it would be great to hear from you! :D

Welcome aboard. Lovely looking car.
I recently advertised a manual on this forum. It’s not going so happy to haggle 😁

That's spot on, if it covers the 2007 2l model I have no need to haggle I'm fine with that price, PM me your details and I'll do a bank transfer if you like? :hattip:

No, he wasn't called Ronnie - not sure whether that question was leading to a joke but just in case it was, he wasn't called Arthur either :D

Welcome Tingworthy . Be warned that manual will probably be the cheapest thing you buy now you have joined the forum . :D

That's not a very nice thing to say about enuff's printing skills. He spent ages trying to get the ink to dry!

Welcome Tingworthy, just be aware that [ref]enuff_zed[/ref], thinks Z4's are porn, so some of the pages in that manual may be a bit sticky.

I prefer the curvier pre-facelift tbh.

Won’t be of much help as I’m also a new member to the Z4 community but just wanted to say that’s a beautiful colour and interior combo!

Thought he had his printer taken away after that other incident .......you know the one that we're not allowed to speak about .

The Pond man is just jealous of my amazing sales skills (and the fact my job is so easy I have time to pounce at any time of the day)
As for the 'other incident', I can't help it if I mistook the printer for a photocopier and sat on it naked!
The bloke in Curry's was very understanding, considering................
