Hello everyone. My names Colin, I'm 29 and from south west Scotland.

Currently own a Clio V6 255, and an M135i which I've had since new 15 months ago.

Recently I won a long weekend in a 2014 Z4 20i and it was wonderful. Cruising around the Lake District in the sun with the roof down me and my wife had a blast! Here's a couple of pics we took.

Here's one of my M135i

and my pride and joy...

So anyways, the weekend in the Z4 was great but I missed the power and sound of the straight 6 which was when the dealer mentioned the huge support currently on the 35iS.
I have had a test drive at the weekend and it's a great car but I can't decide weather it's a one trick pony compared to the M135i and I'm also worried about reliability and problems after reading through this forum.

So any advice would be much appreciated. Great forum by the way! :)

Hi Colin, I have a 35is arriving on Friday. M135 & 35is are similar in performance,I had m135 & 235 for a few days before I made my mind up. Both great cars but not special enough IMO. In the 35is I felt it was special,2 cars in 1. Coupe when the roofs up( most of the time for us in the west coast) nice wee roadster when the roofs down. Done a lot of research on the 35is before buying & don't think they have many issues. Whare are you based on the west coast ? I'am in Ayrshire.

I know what you mean about that feeling that only a 2 seater sports car can give. The exhaust note is also amazing, far louder and rorty than the M135i. It didn't ride or handle as well I don't think, this could mainly be the tyres. Why didn't bmw offer the 19's with a non runflat option.

By issues I mean that the demo I drove at Eastern in Edinburgh had 400 miles on the clock and there was already creaks and rattles in the interior, same with the 20i I had for the weekend with 300 miles in the clock.
I've also read about lights steaming up and roofs failing to close etc. Just concerns me slightly. I am right south in Scotland, at Gretna. So my local dealer is LLoyd in Carlisle.

Awesome clio!!!!

Not advice...but ace clio!

Haha, thanks mate. Always amazes me the reaction it gets on other forums :) Had a guy on the M6 last year in a Ferrari 612, he couldn't get enough of the little clio lol.

Hi, welcome to the forum :)
