Hi guys,

I'm Abbas, I'm from Yorkshire. I thought I'd introduce myself, I've been secretly mooching about on this forum for a while now as it's been a wonderful source of help for fixing problems big and small.

I got a new Z4 recently, and finally took some photos of it! (below). It's a 2006 3.0 si. It has a few kinks and bits to sort out but overall I'm chuffed with it and I've done a few bits to it already as I think I'll be keeping this for a few years yet. I previously had a 2.0 for about a year and although I loved it, and it was loads of fun to drive, it always annoyed me in the back of my mind I didn't have a straight-six engine so I thought I'd take the leap and this feels a big step up from it.

Anyway, I thought I'd give this a go and thought it wouldn't hurt meet some fellow Z4 owners and go from there.

Have a great day.

Nice looking car I’m sure you will enjoy owning it. And welcome from someone who lives not too far away from where you took the photos. 🙂

Thanks for the welcome guys.

I drove through Holmfirth to get these photos actually! Really nice round there. I'm from Huddersfield. Not too far away

Have you done Huddersfield to Denshaw A640 then turn right A672 to M62 back to Huddersfield.I do it from the Manchester direction ,it’s my favourite test route.
Hope you have happy motoring in these difficult times.
Ps My z4 3.0 is an 03 in sterling silver.

I haven't actually! I'm definitely going to check that route out. Thank you for the heads up. This photo was actually taken on the route I take from Huddersfield to Glossop. You touch the top of the peaks a bit going through Holmfirth, and once you get near Digley Reservoir and the windings roads on the A6024 where the photos were taken it's not bad at all and usually pretty quiet.

Same to you mate - Happy motoring. It's been a great distraction in these strange times.

Hi Abbas and welcome. Car looks in great shape, is it Sterling Grey?

Hi mate. It's actually wrapped in a Pearl Grey Gloss. Not too far from Nardo Grey which I think is very popular nowadays. I only had it done about a month ago, and although expensive I can't fault it so far. It was silver originally

Hi and welcome Abbas. That’s a great looking Zed you have there.
Loving the wrap and wheel combo. Glad youre enjoying your straight six.

Also nice to continue on past the Turnpike / Booth Wood then up past the Fleece in Ripponden and on to Barkisland

That's my test run out.

Hey Abbas, that’s a great colour and a nice backdrop. It’s a very not bad place to go for a spin!

Hi and welcome to the forum.

Your car looks great, the scenery is fantastic and the 3.0Si engine is terrific - what a combination!
