Hi from Supersprint, Italy!

Hi everyone, I'm Roberto of Supersprint, Italy. As one of my duty is to follow forum anche clubs to give technical advise I decided to subscribe.
I'm also quite the petrol head, I drive a Clio RS, a Mini Cooper and a 350Z.
I hope to be welcome here...
We also offer special discounts to forum, especially for group buys...so if one of the admins will contact me we'll talk about this.
Cheers!

fa41 if it's of any help a dear friend of mine drives a Z4 3.0 roadster...I had a few runs with my clio and 350Z, and also with my old S2000.
Another friend of mine that lives in Milan (I'm from Brescia) has a white Z4M coupè, I really love that car.

This friday we have a BMW Day at our facilities, we have around 20 cars coming in for exhaust fitting, dyno runs, a visit to the company and lunch.
I'll take a lot of picures and videos...a Z4M will be fitted with sports cats and x-pipe, and already is fitted with our rear exhaust, so it may interest you.

We already are partner with all the BMW Italian boards and are also present on a number of international ones.

Talking about BMW meeting, here a few pictures od a meeting we sponsored a while ago:

No Z4 in the pictures sadly!

Hi Roberto,

Just had the Supersprint Powerloop fitted with the x-pipe .. very happy!!

have a few questions though, its alot quiter than the Race boxes i had previously, so missing the sound a little if not the drone bu would fitting race cats or manifold change the sound at all, obviously would improve the power gain!

Gareth

If I'm not mistaken I already answered your question in the other thread.
The poweloop on the Z4M as well as many other cars has been developed to get the maximum sound reduction in a compact and light body, and keep the sound inside the cabin at comfortable levels even when fitted with the full system (headers, sports cat, x-pipe)
We always optimize the sound of the full system as the car used for the development is fitted with it in the end (but the car is tested with all the configurations...if you're interested in our "modus operandi" give a look at this: http://www.supersprintfiles.com/english_company_introduction.pdf )
This sometimes results in the rear (TUV approved) exhausts being a bit too quiet when fitted by themselves.

Bienvenido! How much for the full system - the back boxes? (please see my spec on the signature)

PS: S2000 is a very cool car.

ChawenHalo, for prices it's best to wait for the official discussion or by Private Message, as the discounts are still to be decided and I don't want to go too OT.
Also, you live in France, www.rcsport.net is the exclusive distributor.
If you plan to come to Italy we can sell directly, fitting the system etc, but we can't ship to France.
I can talk to rcsport to see if they can arrange a special discount as a forum member...I'll let you know.

Thanks Roberto, just seen your response on the other thread! I did love the Race though, was great fun but just too loud for every day. Is there no way of making an active exhaust like Audi's do on their RS models and Aston Martin do on the V8 Vantage so you can have both ?? or does it just work out too expensive

Gareth

We don't make exhaust with a valve for various reasons:
-Even the best valves, Pierburg, are not reliable when fitted on full exhaust as the temperatures are too high.
-Dual way exhaust are heavier, more complicated and hard to fit, especially the electronic/pressure system.
-We try to reach the best compromise of sound and comfort, with no sacrifice of the performance like you get on a valve system, where the close system is too restrictive and the open one too loud and with too low on backpressure.
-Also, valve systems can get TUV approval only with the valve closed so every system need a closed pipe that can be replaced afterward with a separate valve kit. Akrapovic use this system, the valve alone costs 500+ €. For a rear exhaust only for a Abarth 500 you need 1500 €...you can get the full SS system with 20 hp more for little more!!!

Well its good that you as a brand owner you support your distributors. I don't know RC Sport. My previous experience with Oreca and ACS french distributors made me buy from the UK. I work in the UK anyway. Pricing tends to be more competitive as the market is bigger too.

We gave RC Sport the exclusive as it has a good customer service and the guys are competent...in other market there are morethan one distributors with no exclusive and we also sell directly.
