Im on the lookout for a 2.0 z4 as a weekend toy......

Will be an active member if I find something!

Welcome Kugaman1, you've come to the right place to help you with your search!
What style Z4 are you after?

Im looking at something around the 04-07 age, with lowish miles.

Thought I was on to a winner with a metallic grey 04 plate 2.0 with 50k on it and fsh for £4200 but it sold before I could get there! Looked really nice aswell.....

I live 30 miles north of aberdeen, so if I do travel for the right car, it better be decent as its a long drive home!!

Always worth the trip out of Scotland , when I lived up there I always went south to buy a car ..why .. because a car thats not spent months of the year being washed in road salt makes a big difference to how they age .

Welcome OP.

Just a thought but might it be worth considering a 2.2 or 2.5 as well? That way you get the straight 6 that makes the Z4 a bit more unique.

Good luck anyway, and don't forget the photos once you've found one!

Thanks all.....
Was looking at a 2.0 due to tax costs and limited budget......however, the right car is the right car, so if its a bigger engine....well...👍🏻

Welcome to the forum! :D
Always difficult to balance this, not sure what sort of MPG the 2ls return but I know my 3l si can get as high as 42mpg on a long motorway run, tax wise its only about £60 more expensive between the 2l (£240) and the 3l (£305) which equates to £5 a month.... worth paying for the vastly superior 6pot engine imo! You should also be able to get a good condition, good spec 2.2 or 2.5 for that budget as well :driving:

Hi flyingfyfer.

I'm sorted, bought a 22000 mile e89 in deep sea blue metallic!

Its kinda hot and cold.....

LOVE IT with the roof down, lovely exhaust rumble, looks stunning, a real sense of occasion.

However, with the roof up, feels so different, not so much exhaust noise and a few rattles from the roof......still looks go tho!

Was bought as a second car. My wife and I live within 2 miles of our respective works, so don't do too many miles.
We have ordered a Golf GTE, although delivery is now delayed until mid November.....That will be the day to day workhorse and long distance/visiting family down south car.

The Z4 will be for running around the countryside.....mainly in the summer with the roof down, and the odd dirty weekend away (don't tell the wife).....
