Hi from new Z4 owner in Staffordshire

Hi,

After owning a z3 1.8 since last summer and enjoying open top motoring on sunny days, I have taken the plunge and swapped it for a 2004 Z4 2.5 Individual

I had a 100 mile drive back from the sellers house in the lovely sunshine to start my ownership and loved every minute - the straight 6 engine makes an awesome noise when you floor it!

I wasn't particularly looking for an individual model - I was mainly looking for the best condition and lowest mileage car for my budget. I have just looked up the VIN code online out of interest. It came up that mine was ordered with black leather and ellipsoid alloy wheels, when it actually has individual wheels, cream leather and BMW Individual on the sill plates.

Are the 'Individual' spec items done after a car has rolled off the production line, or has someone just bought some second hand wheels and seats off eBay and swapped them over?

Here are a few pictures of my new ride:

Black leather goes better in a silver car, that beige would look better in mine :D :D
Nice car BTW.

I know a bit of an unusual colour choice but I quite like it - its a bit different.

I wanted the sports seats - they seem pretty rare on earlier cars

Lovely car! Great colour combo and some lovely extras in there- ///M sport seats, piano dash and unusual wheels! Congratulations and welcome!

Would look even better in mine :poke:
Nice looking Z, How do you find the z4 against the z3, apart from the engine. Welcome to the forum by the way

The Z3 and Z4 are completely different - considering there is only 4 years between my Z3 and Z4 the Z4 is far more advanced.

I never found the Z3 very sporting - the steering never felt very sharp - not sure if was just the one I had or if they are all like that

Because I didn't really enjoy driving it I have probably covered more miles in my Z4 this weekend than I did in the whole year that I owned the Z3!

Welcome from a fellow Staffordshire member. Great looking motor. I am sure you will really enjoy it. :driving:

Welcome to the forum OP.

Great looking Z4 you have there with a few choice options.

Colour scheme may be unusual, but who cares so lonmg as you like it!

Welcome to another Staffordshire member,, or to be more local " how at duck"
:D

Welcome to the forum. Lovely Zed.
From yet another Staffs comrade......perhaps we should all organise a meet somewhere? :driving:

Welcome along, glad you're getting on with the 4 :)
Interesting set of wheels you've got there? Didn't come with 107 or 108's? :(

The wheels are 152 - I suspect someone spent a fortune on them when new - dont see how they are any more special than the standard 18" wheels but they are a bit different I supposed!

Really pleased with my 'Z so far :D - dont care if look daft in the freezing cold with my top down!
