Hi everyone,

Bought our first Z4 a month ago (04 3.0i SE, Sterling Grey), our 5th BMW over 20 years.

Over the moon with the car, love everything about it - just need a dry (warm!) day to get the hood down!

Looks a great forum, look forward to chatting to you all.

Pssst, don't say it's too cold to put the top down.....you'll be harrassed for not wearing a Parka when you drive. :D :D

Welcome to the forum. Excellent choice of colour :thumbsup: Cold weather ...... Just add an extra layer of clothes and turn the heater up one notch !!!!!

Of course I had to have the top down - couldn't resist it - trouble was both occasions were sub-zero - needed an hour to thaw-out at home after :lol: (Heater's very impressive, though!)

First ragtop i've had in over 30 years (last was a 1969 MGB!), glad to see things have improved since then - don't see any real penalty in having a convertible these days, just so easy and convenient to operate.

Love the Z4's in-car engine sound, the enigmatic "Sound Generator" certainly does the business. Why did BMW only fit them to the 3 litre models as standard, I wonder?
