I've been a lurker on the forum for some time and thought I'd sign up and say hello - I put a deposit today on a 2006 light grey si sports coupe today and expect to pick it up next week. I considered a number of different cars before deciding on the Z4, it has the right mix of reliability, styling, comfort, individuality, performance and rarity (on Irish roads at least). I've had a number of coupes in the past and while BMWs as a rule don't appeal to me (runs for cover), the Z4 is a very different animal to the rest of the Bavarian estate and appeals on a number of different levels.

The car in question is immaculate, however the bolster on the driver seat has got a bit of a beating over the years. The seats are a blue / black combo (and not to everyones taste, I know), I'm trying to determine the actual colour so give it a going over with some Scuffmaster. Any guidance on this point would be appreciated.

Evening cjay , great choice on the 3.0 coupe  it doesn't take long for the bond to build , still love mine & every time i consider a alternative a quick look over its contours & i know its going nowhere

Thanks for the welcome, will get some pics up once I take delivery. Its a SI sports with a raft of extras and 108's.

On the leather colour point, its looks like Walknappa Syrah Blue (taken from furnitureclinic.co.uk) but perhaps a shade lighter:

On investigation, there were 4 blue leather colour options on the 06 coupe:

Syrah Blue (LLF3)
Maldivian blue (FAMD)
Montego blue (FAE9)
Estoril Blue (NBC3)

I believe the colour in my pic is estoril blue (NBC3), this site provides a good comparison.
