Hi-fi upgrade

I'd say you'd be better off going aftermarket. The upgrade on the option list was £500 IIRC (£700 for DSP), which means it will likely be more than that (prob by £300+) for retro-fit.

For that you could have a much better sounding system through aftermarket parts. The Hi-Fi upgrade is good, but not that good.

To be honest, I'm quite happy with standard but have read a few things recently saying the hifi upgrade is a must for selling.

But not interested in paying as much as that in all honesty.

Might do as you say and just go aftermarket

senwar, PeteH had it retro fitted to his Alpina so PM him if you still go on zed-cars to find out the info.

senwar, Can you let me know what you find out from PeteH, I'd also like to pop the upgrade into the alpina if possible?
Thanks

Hi Guys,

I'll dig out all the part no's and stuff in a bit and post them up. It basically consisted of new tweeters, foot well speakers, doors speakers, rear subs, amp and a bit of additional wiring.

From memory it was about £400 fitted.

Cheers,

Pete.

Interesting.. would love to find the dsp bit / subs on ebay somewhere but might differ on the speakers..

will be waiting for this too sir =)

I've been waiting for stuff to come up on ebay for ages, no go so far. Best I've found is 1 yes one top hifi midrange speaker in germany. :(

Hi Pete you're not enough of a regular visitor to here  Any news on the M3?

£400 seems pretty reasonable doesn't it.
