Hi everyone in Z land.I am a newbie to my Z as well as the forum. I have recently bought my 1st EVER decent car having had company cars for twenty odd years.I have an 03 3.0 roadster in Saphire Black , manual with cream leather, wood trim, sat nav, 108's,parking sensors,cd changer and only 32k miles. Sold my BMW motorbike to get this and I'm so happy I did. What a stunning car.I've already jammed the CD stacker, and my wife has broken the glovebox so it won't open, and I've scraped the nose ( the bonnet is sooo long!!!) I haven't had time ( or decent weather in the uk) to get many pics, but I'll try to post the one I have got. My name is Marcus Shurvinton, known as "Shurv"to my mates. My forum name of "bigshurv" is due to the fact that I am a long since retired rugby front row forward nearly as wide as I am tall .LOL. I am so happy with my Z4, and love this forum already. I post on the UKGSer forum for BMW GS bikes, and the same friendliness and banter exsists there too, only with much more piss taking. I intend keeping my Z for a long time, sod the price of petrol.I am already deep into the searches about ditching the runflats,BUT, do I have to ditch the 108's as well, or can I fit normal tyres to the runflat rims?.I have a list of mods running through my head already. Can't wait. :driving:

OK, how on earth do I get a pic to upload from a post?...............I press the Img button, nothing happens. Confused. :headbang:

Welcome to the forum. You'll find tons of information on this forum. Beware, there are strange people however. As for the pictures upload there are a
few excellent threads explaining how it works. It really is simple.

Cheers.

Welcome to the Forum! You can mount any appropriate sized tire/tyre to the 108's, whether run-flat or not :)

Regarding pics, follow the below link to the image posting how-to. You can use any picture hosting site you wish, not just photobucket (I use Flickr). 8)

Welcome aboard.

Fancy changing you wood trim for some nice brushed Aluminium, it will look so much better, and I know where there is a nice set for sale

Welcome to the foum

Don't ditch the 108's - they're beautiful!

I note your comments about p1$$ taking and your immense size with interest - We will consider ourselves warned :punish:

Guys, thanks for the warm welcome........piss taking is healthy and amusing ,feel free :D I'll suss the piccy posting later and post one up, then once it stops flippin' raining I'll take a few more. I shall swap to Falken 452 as soon as poss as my runflats are pretty worn and they are simply awful on the UK's crappy roads. My local tyre centre insisted I couldn't fit non run flats onto my 108's but a call to my local BMW stealer told me I could. He just said they are a bugger to get off once fitted, not my problem he he !! Catch u later guys.......

Welcome.

I think it's the runflats that are a bugger to get off, due to the stiffer sidewalls. My last tyre fitter certainly didn't enjoy the job
I've also had my local tyre place say you can't fit non runflats, seems to be nonsense for more recent cars/wheels.

Nope, they just want to make the extra money off you. More expensive tire, the more they can get out of the deal
