Hi. Bought a roadster

I am not sure if I am a fan or not. I saw a picture of an American one with the industry standard CSL's on. It looks pretty good. The car may be better as original spec. Plenty of time to decide though. From what I have read on here over the last couple of weeks there is certainly plenty of different opinions. In reality though in most pictures I have seen, the cars look great regardless.

Who knows. Just getting it safely home then off road until march. Too much rubbish on roads by us. Badges on seats are naff, not a very BMW thing to do. Heavy stiched though. I want to see it in some sunshine.

I have to admit, they interiour should have been left alone. Expensive to correct.

Strangely my wife likes the red. We had a red 135 convertible with red leather, which she didn't like. I would like it more if it was full red and without those stitched badges. I have it home now (just). Plenty of time to think about it. The car is great though, enjoyed the drive home. I have ordered a new washer jet cover for the one we lost on the A1m. We even had the roof off for a quick blast just past Morpeth. Probably looked like a right pair of wallopers.

Gave it a quick was now I'm home.

Im annoyed nobody decided to point me in the direction of this car as it’s a well known fact I’ve been fantasising over this car for years

Glad I stumbled across this in the “M” section and look forward to the spring when you get it out properly and start to think about what mods (if any) you’re going to do to it

Welcome- lovely, I saw this car about 8-9 years ago, it was lovely. I’d agree, going back to standard on such a classic.

Wow, an 09 plate...must be the last registered car in the UK. Keep hold of that one, it’ll be worth a few quid in years to come.

The car was built in 08. If the VIN numbers run consecutively then it was about the 7th last built for the UK I think. Specialist cars didnt register it until 09. There is some old posts about it on here.

The Unicorn indeed.
This was at a couple of meets years back, and never been seen since, lol.
Adamski always fancied tracking it down, and possible purchase, but it never happened.
Nice find,as said, only 1 UK registered (Alpine) White M Roadster, and an 09 plate makes it even more interesting/valuable

Black wheels look okay, but might be nice to go Original Silver,or Gloss Black, and CSL alloys as you mentioned would suit it too :D

Very nice.

I remember this coming up earlier in the year on AT. I’m sure a lot of people were tempted, but not at the asking price. Those headrest logos would have to go ASAP for me too, but I can appreciate that it wouldn’t be the cheapest fix to do properly!
