Hi, and Thanks

Hello Everyone,

I'm not as new as some of the members on here, had my Z4 and been reading this forum since August, but just got round to creating an account today.
First of all want to say a huge thanks to all of you, this forum has been invaluable in sorting a few small problems, and in suggesting improvements.

My Zed is an '03 2.5i in Titanium Silver, with the 107 Ellipsoids. Had 30K on the clock and was in pretty good condition, though she hadn't been used much for a couple of years beforehand.
Only major issue was the central locking on the driver's door was intermittent at best, but this turned out to be a relay in the GM5 module, a quick and easy £50 fix.

Z4-itis has hit me hard, though it's so far restricted itself to fairly low cost mods so I can't complain too much;
First to go were the runflats, replaced with a set of Vred Sessantas and a 16" space saver.
This was followed by a Gaptech RCH+ (Purchased on Ebay after a heads up from this forum), Aux in, Retro fit cruise and the obligatory (if controversial) forum stubby.
Finally got a ZHP gearknob and fitted a sound generator, minus the foam :thumbsup: .

Oil service getting done this week and a set of Mtec discs being fitted as the current ones stop fine, but are showing some surface rust.
No more in the pipeline (yet), though I'm keeping my eye out for a cheap M sport MFSW, just looking forward to driving her and hopefully being able to contribute a bit more to the forum.

And finally, just so that this thread isn't completely worthless, here she is, on a cold and rainy trip around Derwent Reservoir over Christmas;

Thanks guys,
I was aiming for the most researched first post yet, at least that's the story I'm sticking too :P
Hopefully won't be as long until the next update, it's not difficult to keep coming back with so many lovely Z4MRs around.

That photo reminds me how nice the std snub nose is on the pre- facelift :thumbsup:

Edit- Whoops wrong smilie thumbs up certainly not thumbs down :oops:

Nice motor Matt & glad you jumped on board . not sure how you managed to have a zed + access the forum since august without joining in the sometimes mindless debates :P :thumbsup: happy zedding :)

Nice looking Z, except for the naff shrunken aerial, that is. Great driving around there too.
