Hi and Quick Question

Hi,

I got a 2007 2.5l Z4 last week :D loving the torque.

So far it feels good but a little skittish sometimes, maybe I just need to get used to the run flats.
Which leads me to ask, there is no puncture repair kit in the boot, do I need to get a specific one, will any random one from Halfords do, and do I actually need one in there to pass the MOT?

Many Thanks.

Glad you joined us & feel free to show pics of your Z ,
No need for anything extra if you continue with the runflats , many as i did ditch them in favour of standard rubber with major improvement in comfort & far less twitchy or any further tramlining .

Hello and welcome, the point of run flats is that you can drive on them for 50 miles when they have deflated, thus you don't need a repair kit.

If you decide to get rid of the run flats then you can get some tyre goo and a compressor

When you tyres need replacing please think about standard rubber! I have just done it and its a great improvement. I have also just lowed the car by 40mm and its still less crashy than with run flats.

Also if your car feels a bit o twitch and there is to much steering wheel movement. Get the front suspension bushes looked at. Just done mine and it feels so much better. The z4 is known for wearing out front ushers quickly.

Hey, Thanks for the replies, nice to feel welcome. This feels like a forum that's alive, I used to own an S2000 which had a great community forum, then an SLK which didnt. As a mate at work put it this feels much more like a proper sports car. Cheers!

Welcome to the madhouse.

Rule 1 of zed ownership is ditch the runflats - transforms the car. Had to put runflats back on mine temporarily and hated it.

Rule 2 is to post photos of your motor and get a forum sticker so we can wave at each other.

Rule 3 is to get to a meet - So we can all enjoy the group driving and banter.

Rule 4 is to feel free to ignore any of the above!
