hi all

good news is its on its way....

the not so good news is he has scraped the bumper on the ramps..

he called me to say and advised he is insured, am i being panickity getting his insurance to have it painted..(the previous owner advised it had some stonechips on anyway).... guess he was contracted to bring it to me in the same condition it left..

New rims 19's on today, I know this style has been done to death but they look so right in the Z.. Feels much nicer than on the RFT,s. Springs arrived yesterday so they are next in the list.. Although the front is just right visually it's just the back than needs a good 20mm drop..

Poor pic due to weather

Now what to do with the 108,s anyone have an idea on 2nd hand value?

Decent condition no keening, just slight corrosion on the centres fitted with Bridgestones 5mm fronts 6mm rears. I have also sourced a set of 225/40/18 Yokohama winters that I am tempted to fit to the 108,s if they are not worth selling...

Big thanks to the people who pushed me to contact sidexit and purchase the car, very happy with it

I drove 1400 miles for my car - we have to travel far for the perfect Z, tis a rare beast. Glad you made the trip and bought it, looks great ! :) :driving:

I bought it blind on pictures to be be honest, Tim seemed like a decent chap on the phone and sent lots of pics.. Car was as described if not better to be fair to him.. Just didn't have time to make the trip in person..

That looks to be a great example there - didn't see the FS thread but it just looks fantastic for a car of that age. Enjoy driving it!

Brave thing to do and I wouldn't advise anyone to do this but you've played a blinder mate - it's spot on and a giveaway for £5k - enjoy !

and ............... have the scrape done on their insurance - it's wholly their fault and no doubt you paid a decent amount to have it transported to you in the original condition !

That's a very very nice car for that money young man.

I've recently purchased a 3.0i and considered the 2.5i like you but I'm so glad I went with the 3.0i.

Mine's tucked away til early next year, got a few little jobs lined up in that time.

Enjoy the experience!!

Hopefully be able to get the roof down tomorrow, supposed to be dry.
Looks you had the Lady Luck on your side, the right car came up for sale on the day you posted.
There is know way I would have bought privately with seeing and driving the car.
Looks good on the new wheels,Areo skirts are a good addition on the Z4

Did a bit of work on the car the weekend, new front wishbones, and drop links, and fitted some Eibach springs.. Much more forgiving than the previous BMW ones.. , the car feels much better than before, will get the tracking done is a week or so once the springs have settled

A before and after pic, but unfortunately the car is in a different position, rear seems to have dropped a fair bit
