New to the forum, decided to get myself a toy and think a 3.0 manual would be the one.. only have a £5k budget so choice is going to be limited..

can anyone advise if the 2.5 is worth looking at or is the 3.0 the one to have..?

The 2.5 is a fine motor, 3.0 just edges it tho, at 5k if you're patient you'll find an early 3.0, may even be one here on the forum iirc, good luck

Go for a 3.0 ,they cost no more to run and have a lot more std kit.
The one just put up for sale by side exit looks a good buy.

At your budget you could be waiting a long time to find something local, bargains like this are rare in the extreme, 05 plate, very well specced car with low mileage and fsh, you'd be bonkers to miss out on that car

Hello :) 3.0 Ltr all the way mate. If you get the 2.5 you'll regret not getting the 3.0 because you'll want to have that more power :)
 
Happy days...

Deal is done, all paid up and car is getting collected Thursday and delivered to me Friday am.., need to sort out some winter boots for it now
