Hi all I'm Anthony and new to the Z4 just picked up a 2009 23i uk spec been wanting one since they first come out. I’ve bought this one as a project the roof has failed and needs hydraulic hoses. My problem is I can’t open the boot there’s no key slot or button and I can’t see a pull cord in the boot through the ski hatch.
Love the car just need the boot open so I can sort it and enjoy it . And if anyone knows how to turn off the roof warning sound till I fix the roof that would be awesome.
Can you help please?

Hi Anthony. Welcome to a fellow Welshman. Just stating the obvious but you do know you tilt the BMW boot badge forward to open the boot? 👀
 
Thank you.Yes I know, the problem is the roof is closed and the hydraulic hoses have been cut by the previous owner. I Need to open the boot to access the pumps so I can manually move the roof to get the hose numbers so I can get replacements.
 
Where in Wales are you? I believe Bimmergeeks Protool can open the boot.
 
So some coding / service tools have a boot release or the other option is to temporary apply 12v to a link in the fuse box

To defeat the noise once in the boot unplug the CTM module

Hi all thank you for your help the pin 12 trick worked so boot is open and I’ve disconnected the CTM to stop the beeping. Now to order the hydraulic hoses and fingers crossed get the roof workingz
