Hi all wiring diagram for amp in boot needed please

Hi the amp in boot has died from water ingress, aftermarket stereo is fitted now

It is a 10 speaker system

I’m wanting to work out which wires are which going to the amp in boot do I can make a temp bridge etc as new amp is a fortune

Can anyone help atal?

Hi guys this z4 still has no working Stereo!!
This was found on this site which will be a massive help

So with that diagram will I have to buy two 3 way crossovers? So I can wire bass mid tweet to each crossover this making speakers work



My problem is I don’t know which wires are direct from head unit in the boot?

Or does anyone have a better solution?

RH Driver side:
Front Sub Blue/White +
Blue/Brown -

Door Mid Blue/Red +
Blue/Brown -

Door tweeter Blue/Black +
Blue/Brown -

Rear Mid White/Black +
White/Brown -

Rear Sub Thick Brown +
Thick Blue -

LH Passenger Side:
Front Sub Red/Yellow +
Red/Brown -

Door Mid Blue/White +
Blue/Brown -

Door Tweeter Yellow/Red +
Yellow/Brown -

Rear Mid Yellow/Black +
Yellow/Brown -

Rear Sub Thick Brown +
Thick Yellow -

These wires are all twisted pairs and a labelled primary colour first second colour is the stripe.

Additional wires are:

Line out left Yellow/Red +
Brown/Orange -

Line out Right Blue/Red +
Brown/Orange -

The all white wire is switched 12v so good for remote

Thick Brown -

Don't forget the subwoofers are not a standard impedance, so make sure a replacement amp will drive them.

My Carver DSP amp got wet, but I dried it out and cleaned it, and it's worked fine for 12 months plus.

The likes of ECU testing can probably repair the amp for a fraction of the new price - DON'T use BBA-Reman...

I'd be getting it repaired/swapping for a used one as it's a lot of hassle replacing the Carver DSP with an aftermarket setup, and unless you are spending big £, it probably won't sound as good.

I did read that ohm issue but read still works, head unit has been changed so that is now amplified

Car is to be sold so stereo needs to just be working to a decent standard
