Hi all,

Decided that it's time to change car, and I'm on the lookout for a coupe in the next few months!

Is there a link to a sticky regarding spec, colours etc? differences between the SE and Si?

Would prefer a manual over the automatic and needs to have cruise control, was this a standard item of spec?

Currently own this and thought it's about time to upgrade, needing something a bit more refined.

and used to have this before my commute started putting too many miles on it!

Any tips on things I should look out for would be welcome, I have no preference to colour etc, just manual and Cruise! have a budget of around 10k, is this ample enough for what I'm looking for?

Ryan.

As a recent buyer of a Coupe, I can tell you cruise is not standard. It was an option.

Sport comes with infinitely better seats IMO and better wheels as standard.

Mine came with comfort pack which gives cup holders and cargo nets, as well steering wheel functions.

I won't really use my Nav (another option) but it's good for its age and makes the dash look better IMO.

There was optional piano black trim on the dash over the standard aluminium. Apart from that, it's just finding one you like (colour/wheels combo) and buying on condition.

I'm sure other members can add more valuable advice than I.

Hello and welcome sounds like you have made the right choice looking for a coupe!

Here is the difference between the SE and the Sport:

No cars came with cruise as standard, it was always an option.

For your requirements you should easily find a car for 10k but it depends on how fussy you are on mileage.

Keep an eye on here for cars for sale (like mine, but not sure its suitable for you) as good ones do come up!

Welcome Ryan,

Love the Clio V6. Never seen one in that colour, makes a change from blue and silver.

OP all Coupes are Si, but there are SEs and Sports.

As the spec. above details SEs come with standard seats and 17 inch wheels, whereas Sport models have Sport seats, 18s and Sport suspension. I bought a Sport because I just couldn't contemplate having a Z4C with the standard seats - they look so out of place!

So far as spec goes, basic Z4 is indeed basic (even compared to my E46 daily) - no cruise, Multi-function steering wheel, parking sensors, etc.

From what I have read on here cruise isn't too complicated to retro-fit - column stalk and associated wiring loom is available from BMW for not silly money and isn't too hard to fit if you can solder so I wouldn't rule out one that fitted all your other criteria just for lack of cruise (try a search of cruise retro-fit on here).

Good luck anyway, and let us know how it goes!

BTW, I just might be persuaded to sell mine for the right price (thinking about an M Coupe).... PM me if interested.
