Hi all, new Z4 montego blue coupe.

Thanks for that, is it a big job to carry out?
One thing that I have noticed is a Knocking/Tapping, vibrating noise on idle, that Goes away when clutch pedal is pressed. could that be the clutch release bearing, and Is It anything to be concerned about?

For a mechanic it's a quick job to remove and then bleed the clutch of any air. Probably charge 30-60 mins labour.

Quite a few vids on youtube, especially for E46.

They all do it. Not a very nice noise and very un-BMW like, but it's a 'characteristic'

Thank you, It's reassuring to know that It's pretty normal, It's only a faint noise to be honest, so know need for concern then?

Hi OP, I like those wheels but that is more stretch than I would want (but I'm old)!

Just noticed that you had a 225d before the Z4 - I bet you are glad you moved to straight 6 petrol! I certainly was (had a 123d before my Z4)!

Not sure where you are, but down my way we are getting a monthly meet at Newlands Corner, near Guildford up and running. The next one is scheduled for 19 February.

But there are other meets - just keep checking the Meets/Events pages!

Looking forward to seeing the mods![/quote]
Haha, I'm old too, but still like a little stretch :D

Too be honest I couldn't fault the 225d, It's probably the best new car I've ever had, I do like the straight 6, power delivery is nice and smooth, I do miss the fuel consumption though!

I'm in the Midlands, I've put my name down for a couple of future meets, including the national one
