hi all, new to the forum

Tat's bad luck indeed :( Were the boxes adequately packaged by the seller? If so it's hard to see how one could be dented without damaging the packaging.

Is it repairable? Possibly try one of the custom exhaust places to see if they have a tool that can fix it

Exhausts were wrapped in bubble wrap with thin corrugated cardboard at stategic points. One had come partially unwraped exposing mounts so I unwrapped whilst courier waited to check damage of which there was none. The other package looked okay on outside but on unwrapping there is a dent to one of the tips.

Seller says he wrapped well which basically he did. This did not prevent one still coming unwrapped and exposing the mounts and the other must have been dropped or squashed by pallet damaging tip. If dropped it was obviously not wrapped well enough!!

His stance is that I should have fully unwrapped both to check for damage and rejected if found, but this would have meant rewrapping and there is no chance the courier would have waited for that. If they had come boxed and wrapped in wrap that would have been okay but they didn't, just rolled in bubble wrap and covered in loads of gaffer tape which ripped all the wrap when removed.

All I asked for was a gesture in respect of the damage as I believe I would have done in reverse. I never asked for a refund and if I'd wanted I could have stopped the payment as it had not cleared before the package arrived. I didn't believe for one second he would dick me around like he has, so never gave it a thought until too late!!

He doesn't even seem prepared to try and pursue insurance but I reckon he would probably fall foul on packaging guidelines not boxing them.

You live and learn, but his attitude really pisses me off!!! Some people!!
