Hi all

Its nice to be here, its taken a while as I've been torn between which car to buy. Anyway the Z4 won :thumbsup:

I pick up the car on Thursday 21st and I'm bloody excited! As soon as I get the chance I'll post some pics :) The Car is 2,5 on a 56 plate, black with only 9000 miles on the clock....... Nice! I only have 1 problem with the car hence the questions lol. I want to fit my own head unit. I've had a quick look round the forum and not really found what I'm looking for so I thought I'd introduce myself and ask the quetion at the same time.

1. Whats the easy way to remove the original facia panel?

2. What part numbers do I need i.e ISO connector, there is mention of using part number PC2-75-4 on most of the car electric sites such as Audioleads but they mention "Without speaker upgrade" what does that mean? and it that the right part?

3. The part number for the steering wheel kit for a Sony.

4. Will I need any other connections/leads to complete the job apart from the facia obviously which are easily purchased off ebay.

And finally it has a comfort pack fitted, whats that? It has a few "M" things but I think I can work that one out!

Hasn't really been done very often TBH hence the lack of response to this. Get it and post your pics on Thursday and we can see if it has the standard or upgraded hifi, which will make a difference.

Hi and welcome...

Ive never liked the look of the face plate adapter you need to fit an aftermarket stereo so I dunno. Removal of the radio is easy though :D There is a thread here somewhere - search for AUX DIY or similar to get clues, you have to remove the centre air vents first then just two screws...
