Hey, after a few weeks of lurking I thought I better say hi. I picked up my Z on Tuesday, its rained fairly consistently since... after work today was my first chance to go topless, was awesome :D

As I know this thread is worthless with out pics here's a crappy camera phone one, will get some nice ones once I've had a chance to clean her and the suns out

Shes a 2.5, with red leather M seats, M wheel and piano black dash.

Don't listen to the couped up tin top brigade, roadsters are the best choice

Welcome aboard - and nice zed, black is the best colour 8)

Thanks for the welcome everyone. Got a few small things I want to do to her, stubby, zhp gear knob and get some Machine Monkey exhaust tips. Any one know where the best place to get a zhp is? bmwministyle seem to have stopped trading.

Thought it was about time to update this thread. A little under two weeks into ownership and I've got to say im in love with this car :D I was initially after a coupé, but do not regret getting a rag top at all, great feeling when the suns out just cant wait to get in and go for a drive. Im finding the fuel costs a little hard to stomach, but my previous car was a Smart Car... the smile on my face every time I get in the Z makes it worth it. Found out that black is a pain to keep clean, but she looks lovely after a polish, shame it only looks like that for a few hours

I've just fitted some Machine Monkey stainless tips

My forum tax disk holder, got a forum sticker too, was going to put it in the rear window, but not sure yet

Also fitted a Parrot Asteroid head unit, got to say very impressed with it, its got a lot of crap reviews but thought it was worth a shot, does everything I wanted it to do, was easy to install and I think it doesn't look too out of place.

Next thing on the agenda is black grills, just got to decide if im painting the current ones or going to buy black ones.

I had thought about that parrot radio myself

does it work with the steering wheel controls?

There is a socket on the back for steering wheel control and parrot sell the harnesses separately I think, not having them myself I didn't really look into it. The head unit is going quite cheap now, £179 from Amazon there £250-300 most other places.
