Hey guys and gals,
I have been searching around the forum for the last couple of weeks looking at Coupe info. Having viewed a couple of local examples i decided this is the car to go for but wanted something slightly different from silver. On Saturday 28th May i decided to make a trip from Chester to Oxford to view a Phoenix Yellow 57plate example....Unfortunately i was unable to take the car there and then so had to go back down on Friday 3rd June to pick it up.
We had already arranged a camping trip to Shell Island on Friday / Saturday last weekend so it meant getting up at a silly time Friday morning to make the trip to Oxford for when the garage opened at 08:00am. When i had completed the deal and paperwork etc the time came to pack all of our camping stuff into the Coupe - luckily it all fit and we didnt have to leave any beer or supplies at the garage!! We then made the 200ish mile trip from Oxford back to Shell Island for the camping and i was impressed with the MPG figures being returned.
I have owned a couple of different cars in the past such as Clio V6, Pulsar GTIR, mk1 & mk2 golf gti....I sold the clio v6 back in Feb'10 after 4 years of ownership and decided to have a short break from something sporty so got a 2001 Golf GTI Turbo as a stop gap and after 16months of owning that i decided to get something sporty again, bring on the z4 Coupe!
I shall try and get some pictures up later at some point - there are a couple of marks on the bodywork but nothing significant....
