Welcome along Kenty. Can you tell me some more why you moved on from the Elise. I'm developing a serious Elise itch that I'm finding increasingly difficult to ignore.
For me the Elise was always my dream car, saved alot for a deposit and finally my dream came true just over two and a half years ago. I used to love driving the car, noisy, fast, amazing handling, rare to see on the roads so always got attention, felt really proud to own it and it did feel special.
However, after two and a half years of ownership things started to bug me about it. The ride was getting too harsh, it felt half the time I was actually doing damage to the car! The air con didn't work, not a massive problem but it was there so it should have worked! The door didn't shut first time in the cold. The Mrs didn't really like it much, not a big problem 6 months ago but she has since got pregnant and I felt it was my duty to make her at least slightly comfy whilst carrying my unborn child! I felt like there was a huge problem just around the corner, although it never broke down once, a really quite mechanically sound car, but it was just a feeling probably a deep seated thought that they have poor reliability which isn't really the case now, and of course two winters in the Elise was two too many for any man!!
BUT, given all that was annoying the car really was one of the best out there, you can't really compare it to a 'normal' car tho, it's basically a go kart with a boot, I would say if you have the itch, itch it, you won't be disappointed. You could easily buy an older one, run it for 6 months and sell without loss if you don't like it, problem is though, the little plastic cars get under your skin!!
If your really interested I can always answer any questions about them but SELOC is probably the best forum for Elise knowledge.
