Hesitation

I’m glad it seems to have helped. My car was pretty dire before but it’s made a huge difference to how the car drives. :D

The hesitation is quite well documented for other models with the DCT box. Googling 335i DCT hesitation results in a lot of hits.

I find the hesitation in mine is mainly when slowing, mainly engine braking, and then speeding back up before you come to a full stop (rolling California stop). There is a definitely a second or so lag before the engine picks up.
If you come to a full stop and pull off there is no lag.

I've read having the latest firmware on the DCT helps.

Resetting the DCT adaptions also helps, although needs to be repeated once the hesitation comes back.

Went on a 50-mile bumble into Rutland yesterday. Lots of good country roads and the chance to go quick sometimes. Leicester-Uppingham-Oakham-Melton Mowbray-Leicester. The car's never been so good.

Will re-set the DCT regularly. Easy to do, after all.

(Filled it with BP at -10p a litre for a £20 M&S food spend, too. Mind you, BP needs to be -10p.)

My car doesn’t have a DCT box!
