Ok, just got the Z4M roadster home and with all used car purchases there is a bit of newbie car nerves. So all seems good, no rattles or bumps and the car drives well, but just a couple of questions to the wise?
1) it could be me but when flooring it (when warmed up) I swear I felt a slight hesitation..... But only once. This could just be the Vanos working as we were from 3000 rpm, but anyone else occasionally feel this. It was not missing or anything and was very slight.
2) when hot and idling, if you quickly stab at the throttle to blip it, will it stutter/ revs momentarily drop befor picking up? Only when idling and if more gentle no effect is seem
3) when turning it off, as the engine stoops there are perhaps the briefest second of some big rattle/clatter. That sounds melodramatic but it is not ment to be, I seem to remember my E36 m doing something similar.
Done a throttle reset just in case, but any reasuring "don't worry newbie" comments? Like I say just first drive nerves.
