:exitright:Yeah, that... err.... sucks :roll:mad4slalom said:...mark my words, look what happend to vacuum cleaners !!!!!!
maybe worth a try then, how much did they charge for that reflash bing, and did it take long. i can see the cold start up, ican see the smoother running, i can see the power delivery, But, I cant see for the life of me the 1st to 2nd shift as i am unaware of any electronics in our gearboxes , that is surely a purely mechanical shift and i reckon you were just in the zone and shifting like a driving godBing said:There's no horses missing from mine after the flash. Can't say I've noticed much difference yet, but cold start up is a lot less tractor-like, runs much smoother almost from the off ; no hesitation / kangarooing, thus far. MPG can't comment yet. Could be placebo effect, but power delivery seems a bit smoother too, and I swear the 1-2 shift is less argumentative than before...

Even on the warmest days I like to warm my non m up before setting off
Oil temps above 120f and keep revs below 4,000 until oil is at 160f

Our engines won't come to any harm from starting up & driving away straight away, as long as you don't thrash or labour it then no harm will occur, the full warming up procedure applies to f1 engines & the like but a production bmw engine is good to go.
