After posting, way bck in 2012,on the M hesitation thread, that my M Roadster didn't suffer this,as some others had.......

It started doing so last summer... Went to BMW Indy who initially couldn't find any issues,as no fault code came up,but after a couple of attempts at clearing DME etc,to see if it would resolve it,decided to renew a sensor in the exhaust manifold, which was not working correctly( running hot and cold),but this did not help much/any.

Fast forward to now,and it had been getting gradually worse, and more annoying...pulling out of junctions, roundabouts it would hesitate/bog down(not good),and then over rev and take off like a scalded cat....
Happy to say he then cleaned the Idle control valve, just recently, and the car is now FIXED...AND BACK TO ITS GOOD RUNNING SELF :D :D

Feels like it used to all the time/ until late last summer.....now a joy to drive all the time again, wooho.

I know this has been a fix for some, but not others.,.....worked for me though,so definitely worth a try. :driving:

I thought this was going to be about a cold remedy :D  On a serious note it must be good to have the car a pleasure to drive again.

Ditto

May just clean off hell of it:)

I do on all other cars I've had
As saves lumpy idle too
