Here's how an RPi'ed Z4M sounds like

Hmmmmm, sounded glorious, but around town, might attract the wrong stares. Sounds like Remus is the good compromise. Just waiting for warranty to run out to begin to enact my plan. :evil:
 
I want to like it, but i just don't...I genuinely think the oem exhaust sounds better. To me that sounds raspy, 'unsocialably' loud. Then again i use the car every day for work so i'm being unfair. My Clio is very loud, but it only comes out to play on a 'dry' weekend.
 
It IS unsociably loud yes, that's part of the appeal but it definitely does not sound raspy at all. By the way it's also my daily driver and does plenty of town driving.

I was on a mountain drive yesterday with some guys from a Cypriot motoring forum and they all commented on how good it sounds. Pretty pleased with it. :driving:
 
i absolutly love the sound they make...... ga41, time you went s/c to get some fire out those tailpipes!!!

No supercharger for me i'm afraid. Naturally aspirated all the way. Plus i wont be able to register the car with the S/C on anyway.
 
It does start to sound more like a motorbike than a car though? It would be hilarious for a day around London but then I think the stares and disapproving looks would get to me. Very jealous of all that open road and sunshine though!
 
Bought it new from a UK seller on ebay. If i remember correctly it was around 580 quid with shipping.
