 gt yarmouth and penicuik
I want to fit a cruise control but before I order the stalk I thought I'd better check the wires ,can only find a very small female connector and small male connector are these the necessary wires, cheers in advance

Try this link. How old is the z? Early 2003 had the associated wiring after that you need an extra wiring kit. Let me know how you get on this. It is on my list of todo's in the New Year.

I have ordered the stalk now specialist says it won't work until it gets programed up by dealer, looks like more expense

What year?

I didn't think any of them needed programming

My 2003 defiantly didn't

the specialist are not that specialized, if its an early zed it should just be plug and play, the wires are there for you
 
If your anywhere near Birmingham I don't mind taking a look for you. I don't remember seeing it as an option in SSS for retrofit and mine didn't need programming (nov 05 built) and I had to retrofit the wiring.
