Hi all, wondering if anyone can help me.
I have an E85 roadster on a 2005 plate. I changed the heated drivers set for another as the leather was ripped. The new one is exactly the same (heated) with the same plug/wiring loom under the seat that plugged right in and it has the seatbelt buckle all intact etc. but since changing I now have an air bag light that won’t turn off.
Unfortunately my MOT is due in a few weeks time so I need to try and sort this as soon as possible and I don’t have the old seat any more.
Any help and advice is very much appreciated
Dan

Did you disconnect the battery first?
If not, then all you need to do is find someone local with a code reader that can reset it.

Ideally we need to know the code that is set first if it is anything more complicated.

Did you turn the ignition on while the seats were out? If so, just find someone with a code reader to erase the fault codes.

How are you trying to turn the airbag light off? Are you using some kind of scan tool? The airbag light is one of those that doesn’t turn off on its own once the fault has gone away, you need to turn it off with a scan tool.

If you cant find anyone local with a scan tool, they are inexpensive to buy. Amazon have the Creator 310+ on Prime for 50.99 at the moment. Don’t risk buying anything cheaper unless you know it works. The normal airbag error that appears when you disconnect the seat can be found in the “B-pillar” menu.
